In Developer DAO there are two main possibilities regarding the project's place in the structure of the DAO. Your project can be either an internal or external.

Our internal projects as the name suggests are a part of the Developer DAO and as such have less freedom in how they can be operated, but have full support of the DAO.

Our external projects are mainly projects that started inside of Developer DAO with the support of the community, but they never intended to be a part of the DAO and ultimately chose to be a separate project. They still receive support from Developer DAO.

There are some instances when the Developer DAO could support fully external projects which did not originate in the DAO itself, but at the time there are no processes regarding such instances. Projects of Developer DAO can be both “for profit” type and “public goods” type of projects. To illustrate better that distinction please refer to the table below which has real-life examples of such projects in our DAO:

Below you have a clear list of benefits divided between integral and external projects of the Developer DAO.

Internal projects:

• from the legal standpoint they are part of Developer DAO’s Foundation and as such the DAO itself is an entity that represents them,
• get the biggest support from our community by actively engaging with it through Developer DAO initiatives and structures,
• are integrated into our Discord server,
• get a regular $CODE budget detailed by them in their proposal; this budget is being applied on a monthly basis by the DAO to the projects’ blockchain-based saves,
• are welcome to attend weekly Coordination Calls to report on their progress and request necessary help,
• have free access to the community which allows them to search for talent in the Discord server and get help in fundraising efforts,
• have the support of the Marketing and Business Development Guild which is actively searching for potential partnerships for those projects,
• have the support of the Writers Guild which will help with documentations, notes and articles,
• have the support of the Design and Product Guild which will be able to deliver graphics and other media necessary for the project,
• have the support of Fundraising Operators who help them get funded from various grant programs,
