Ideally anyone should be able to zoom into something on notion and quickly understand a few things:
- current status
- recent history
- what's coming up
- team rituals/ways of working
- what needs to be done
Questions we need to answer
- What’s the difference in the process for community projects vs. projects expecting/requiring funds and resources from the DAO?
- How can we improve navigability in Notion? Currently impossible to follow/track relationships
- option: read-only channel at the top of projects category with a list of projects and notion links.
Requirements to start a project
- open an RFC on the forum
- open source (as much as possible)
- regular updates (e.g., newsletter, blog, DAO internal update?)
Process
- Write an RFC
- <budgeting placeholder: If your project expects funds/resources/etc., move to committee?>
- option: only after some initial milestones/momentum does a project qualify for budgeting
- Project is starting. Now what?
- Discord channel
- pin links to appropriate relevant resources (Notion, RFC, etc.)
- Single high-level entry point page in Notion
- Project Overview + Focus Areas
- e.g., Job Board project description + high-level goals for this quarter
- Who?
- Project’s roles
- Champion(s)
- Scribe(s)
- Product (if applicable)
- How do I get involved?
- e.g., link to Github issues or ping relevant people, etc.
- <not an expectation to maintain current TODO tasks in notion>
