Summary

DeveloperDAO is filled with enthusiastic and skilled developers building and shipping products, be it for their personal use, to benefit the DAO, or as a publicly facing DeveloperDAO product. In a fully-remote ecosystem, the organization of teams is paramount to the success of shipping great products. This introduces the opportunity for experienced and aspiring product managers to offer their services at any stage in a project’s development; be it ideating, road mapping, UX/UI, or development. This appears to be especially important for DAO-sanctioned products for which the DeveloperDAO name will be attached. With this in mind, the proposed Product Guild is forming with the sole purpose of supporting DAO project teams as they strive to achieve product excellence.

Objectives

Ensure that DeveloperDAO project teams are sufficiently equipped to perform effective product design and ideation, thereby ensuring the quality of tools and public goods being built is optimal.

Ensure that projects and products that are directly affecting our DeveloperDAO toolset and user experience, are adequately aligned in terms of product vision and contribute to the DAO’s trajectory.

Contribute to DeveloperDAO's mission to accelerate the education and impact of a new wave of web3 builders.

Primary Goals

• Develop efficient processes for DeveloperDAO members to request assistance from the Product Guild, receive consultation pertaining to requests, and track Product Guild member involvements.
• Understand how DeveloperDAO project teams collaborate, identify inefficiencies, and develop/offer strategies for improvement.
• Seek to understand the needs of all DeveloperDAO members, identify projects that are possible solutions, generate support/involvement in its development.
• Ensure that opportunities for cross-team collaborations are considered, and facilitate discussions that encourage teams to come up with creative product ideas. ****

Secondary Goals

• Allow members looking to enter into the PM space the opportunity to hone their skillsets and gain relevant experience.
• Build a knowledge hub of product management resources for DAO members to utilize; FAQs, blog posts, Industry resources, case studies.
