Next, you should create your default task configuration. This will help control who can claim or apply for tasks when a new task is created.

The rule we use by default is only folks holding the guild/project role can claim tasks.

1. Click the + icon at the top of the To-Do Column
2. In the Task modal, click on the “Permission” option under “Enter a task name…”

1. By default, permissions will be set to “Open to Applications”. We want to untick this option and select “Direct Claiming”, setting the “Who can Claim?” value as your guild/project’s relevant discord role, tick “Set as default” and then Save.
