Updating Proposal Tracker

A main responsibility of the Governance Steward is maintaining and updating the Proposal Tracker on our wiki. The Governance Steward should update the tracker any time there are status updates on proposals or information changes.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Proposal Tracker and login.
  2. Select each proposal and provide status, link, & date updates.
  3. You can use the content section to include any additional context such as Q&As or recordings from a meeting.
  4. Look for proposals that have passed Dates.
    1. If the proposals are in any stage other than Closed, see if the proposal can be moved to the next stage.
    2. If so, reach out to the author to have them move the proposal to the next stage.
    3. If not, reach out to the author and help them get the proposal on schedule and update the date.
  5. Look for proposals that have not had any changes recently and might be stale.
    1. Contact the proposal author to determine if the proposal is stuck or needs to be removed.
  6. Look at the Closed proposals to determine if any should be archived. Any Closed proposal that has a date older than 3 months ago can be moved to the Archived status to clean the tracker.

Proposal Q&A Meeting

Every other week a Proposal Q&A Meeting is held. The purpose of this meeting is to allow proposal authors to provide context around their proposals and to allow DAO members to ask questions. This is an important part of the Governance process as context is hard to share in the DAO.

Meeting Setup Steps

A recurring meeting is already setup in Discord.

  1. On Monday of each meeting week, review the Proposal Tracker. Determine which proposals need to be spotlighted in the Q&A. This will generally be proposals in the [DRAFT] or Forum Voting stages.
  2. Contact the authors of said proposal and check for availability. If unavailable, reschedule the meeting occurrence (leaving the recurring series).
  3. Create a DAO-wide announcement for the meeting.

Meeting Steps

  1. Share your screen viewing the Proposal Tracker.
  2. If the meeting has been setup to highlight one or more proposals with the authors. Expand the proposal page.
