Agenda
- Welcome & Introductions!
- Welcome to Developer DAO Development Guild!
- We’re discussing plans our Education Team
- Two basic goals
- People who have no idea how to code
- People who are web2 coders learning how to do web3
- How did you end up in Developer DAO?
- Saw a community of 10,000 web3 developers
- Was kind of familiar with code before
Education Team Focus and Goals
- What kind of focus should we have?
- Full-stack focus
- Should not limit just to development
- Product, management, design,
- Does it need to be limited to development?
- DAO isn’t limited to just developers
- Teach people how to host events, hackathons, UX design, how to create a start up, etc.
- Build templates for these efforts
- Want to create a better process so that its less scary for people to jump into conversations in the DAO
- Biggest thing education team could help with is lowering the barrier to entry for people to ask questions/participate/get involved, etc.

Mentorship Programs
- Mentee submits application → I’m looking for this type of mentorship
- Give mentees the tools we need to navigate
- The mentee setting goals is important for the mentor to be able to know how to help
- Having concrete examples of what you want to execute is more effective than having a larger learning path goal
- Education team is “conductor” between people trying to offer mentorship/recieve mentorship
- Mentee takes responsibility for sharing information learned + then paying it forward through
- Structure Options
- Simple channel where someone asks a question on how to do something
- Use ask me anything in a thread?
- Really open things vs closed things
- Open things - ask anything in thread, informal chats, etc.
- Closed things - specific questions, mentorship program, specific talks
- Live-coding sessions when someone is coding and explaining their thought process as they go
