Project Overview

The DAO tooling project will research current and upcoming tools by building public use cases and inviting the Developer DAO community to participate in live demos. The goals are to find and “kick the tires” of promising projects, or underutilized features of established projects, encourage participation by Developer DAO members in demos, and find opportunities for members to contribute to projects or identify and build new tools.

Chronicle Developer DAO Season 0 tools

With the help of the founders, document the choices made for tools to build the foundation of the DAO.

• Which tools were very easy choices? (e.g. Discord, Snapshot,)
• Which areas were different tools considered and why was the ultimate choice made? (Parcel)
• Which tools were considered but not used in the end?
• Which tools is the DAO considering using in the future as it becomes progressively decentralized?

Delegation

Researched several existing tools and options to assist with the delegation process. Summary of results:

Tally

Tally’s delegation features are only available if a Governor contract is created for the token, which is not currently implemented. Tally has other features for governance that should be considered if a Governor contract is created.
